There is a large scale fiber outage in Colorado creating outages across our entire network and others. We do not have any specific details yet but technicians have been dispatched. We will update you when we know more.

UPDATE : crews have identified that a horizontal boring contractor has struck a main line of Fiber serving Northwestern Colorado. A repair team was dispatched to mobilize equipment and initiate repairs. They have not given a new time line of repair.

UPDATE : Additional splicers are being mobilized to assist with repair efforts on the 96-count cable. A traffic control team is also en route to assist repair teams with accessing a utility manhole along a highway. Once the manholes are accessed on both sides of the damage, crews will verify the integrity of the existing fiber duct. If the duct is undamaged, replacement fiber will be pulled into position through the conduit and spliced on both ends.

UPDATE : Technicians are currently splicing in new fiber for replacement and more equipment is en route and due to arrive this evening.
